Stunning bridges on Okinawa's main island that will make your drive even more comfortable! Introducing our top 5 recommendations Okinawa's main island is home to many bridges that offer breathtaking views. Driving around the bridges, surrounded by sparkling blue ocean and rich nature, will make your stay in Okinawa even more special. In this article, we will introduce 5 recommended bridges with stunning views on Okinawa's main island. We will also introduce hotels that are recommended as a base for touring the bridges, so please check them out as well.

Renting a car is a convenient way to fully enjoy your trip to Okinawa's main island. Since trains only run in the central area of Okinawa's main island, using a car is essentially necessary if you want to travel to scenic bridges. When renting a car, we recommend a plan that allows you to pick up and return the car to the hotel. This makes it easier to plan your trip and increases your freedom of movement, allowing you to efficiently visit many scenic bridges. The Okinawa Harbor View Hotel , which we will introduce later, is located in the central Naha area and offers a plan where the rental car can be picked up and returned to the hotel , making it very convenient and recommended.
1. Niraikanai Bridge
In Nanjō City in the southern part of Okinawa Prefecture, there is the Nirai Kanai Bridge, a large bridge that curves sharply across the Okinawan sea. With a total length of 660m and a height of 80m, this bridge is one of the most well-known bridges on the main island of Okinawa for its spectacular views. Please note that you cannot park on the shoulder of the bridge. There is a parking space just beyond the bridge, and you can walk to the observation deck from there, so please visit this as well. Viewing this spectacular view with your partner, friends, or family will surely be an unforgettable memory.

2. Kouri Bridge
Kouri Ohashi Bridge is a beautiful bridge about 2km long that connects Yagaji Island and Kouri Island in the northern part of Okinawa's main island. Its spectacular views make it a popular spot that is always ranked highly in Okinawa's bridge rankings. The vast emerald green ocean that can be seen from this bridge is transparent and somewhat mystical. When driving across the straight bridge, you get the illusion that you are driving over the ocean. There is also a pedestrian walkway, so you can walk across the bridge and enjoy the spectacular view. Spending some time relaxing in the middle of the bridge while looking out at the ocean will help you forget the stress of everyday life.

3. Sesoko Bridge
Sesoko Ohashi Bridge, which connects Motobu Town, Kunigami County, in the northern part of Okinawa's main island, to the small island of Sesoko, which is about 8km in circumference, is about 25m high and 750m long, with a distinctive design that makes the center part a little higher. Sesoko Ohashi Bridge is close to beaches and tourist sites, and is a spot where you can see the best views of Okinawa. From the bridge, you can enjoy the beautiful gradation of the water, from the white sand beach to the light blue of the shallow waters, and then to the deep, dark blue of the sea. There is also a walkway, and we recommend taking photos from the bridge. From the observation point on Sesoko Island, you can get a panoramic view of Sesoko Ohashi Bridge, so be sure to stop by.

4. Warumi Bridge
Warumi Bridge is a scenic bridge with a distinctive large arch that connects Amasoko in Nakijin Village and Yagaji Island. Because the bridge has an arch at the bottom, it may seem like you can just drive right by it, but with a total length of 315m, it is the fifth longest arch bridge in Japan. It is also about 37m above sea level, making it a very attractive spot with dynamic scenery. When visiting Warumi Bridge, we recommend parking your car in the Road Park parking lot at the foot of the bridge and taking a walk around the area. In addition, from the observation deck, you can see Kouri Bridge and Kouri Island in the distance, and the magnificent view is well worth seeing.

Although it has the name "under the sea," the bridge actually extends over the sea. The bridge is wide and has plenty of parking space, so you can park your car in the parking lot and relax while enjoying the magnificent view of Okinawa's ocean. At the Ayahashi Sea Station in the center of the bridge, you can have lunch and purchase souvenirs. There is also a marine culture museum, so you can learn about Okinawa's maritime history while enjoying the spectacular view.
