"Nature=Experience" is a self-directed program that allows you to spend a day during your stay experiencing time to reflect on yourself through dialogue with nature. In the rich nature of Hakone/Sengokuhara, you can spend a blissful time feeling the subtle changes in nature with all five senses, such as the swaying of plants and trees throughout the seasons, and the colors and scents of the wind and sky.

Feel the fresh morning air as you grind the beans and enjoy carefully brewed coffee or your favorite blend of herbal tea. Enjoy a quiet moment all to yourself surrounded by the sounds of nature.

We will suggest self-breathing techniques and stretches to help you take a deep breath in nature and slowly release your stiff mind and body. With 5 to 15 minutes of relaxation time, you will be ready to face the day fresh and refreshed.

For breakfast, WOODSIDE dining offers the signature WOODSIDE BBLT Sandwich. The fragrant smoked bacon and bread toasted over a wood fire will give you a boost of energy in the morning. Enjoy a moment that will satisfy both your body and mind with this luxurious dish that exudes the aroma of wood.

Enjoy an active day exploring the rich nature of Hakone through hiking and cycling. Why not take a trip around Mt. Kintoki and the Sengokuhara Kojiri Nature Trail with a chef's special lunch box? Refresh your body and mind on the trail surrounded by seasonal scenery and spend a luxurious time interacting with nature. We also offer bicycle rentals, so you can freely enjoy Hakone's nature.

During the summer season, our seasonal lounge service offers our pastry chef's special snow ice and fruit iced tea. From autumn onwards, our lineup will change to include seasonal sweets and drinks.

Enjoy a course dinner of locally-sourced, wood-fired cuisine at WOODSIDE dining. The lively atmosphere of the open kitchen is also appealing.
